Who we are
The Chiddingfold, Leconfield and Cowdray Hunt is a pack of modern English foxhounds kennelled in Petworth Park, West Sussex. During the season, from September to March, we meet twice a week to trail hunt within the law.
At present we have about 70 hounds (or, as we would say, ‘35 couple’) in Kennels bred for scenting in our varied country.
Our Opening Meet is held annually at the end of October or beginning of November and this marks the start of our main season. We typically hunt on Wednesdays and Saturdays. As well as trail hunting we hold a range of social, community and non-hunting riding events throughout the year.
Visitors and newcomers are always welcome.
